Selena Gomez has a worldwide fame as an actress as well as a performer. She's been a part of many projects, but the Disney Series Wizards of Waverly Place has had the greatest success. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Born on July 22 on 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. Selena was the very first child of her mother. She was only 16 at the age Selena. At the age of nine years old, Selena landed her first job in showbiz when she was cast as Gianna on Barney and her Friends. Through this she was among the thousands of kids who've had the opportunity to interact with the humanoid purple dinosaur that has become so popular in the past. Selena made an appearance in many episodes of seasons 7 and 8 in the period 2001 and 2003. As a fun fact: Selena is not the only one who sang in Barney and the Friends during this period; Demi Lovato also was part of the ensemble cast for the show. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for various series and films in the years following Barney and Friends. She was not successful. In 2003, she had a minor role in Mini Spies 3: (Spy Kids 3D: Game Over), and on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire in the role of Julie. Also, in 2006 she appeared as Emily Grace Garcia on the Brain Zapped television program. She played the role and wrote a song.
